Lianhe Zaobao (联合早报) is the flagship Chinese daily in Singapore, established since March 16, 1983, following the merger of two established Chinese newspapers, Nanyang Siang Pau and Sin Chew Jit Poh, which date back to 1923 and 1929 respectively. Zaobao.sg, the Singapore-facing platform, was re-launched in September 2016 with a brand new look and wider range of content offerings to better cater to the digital news demands of local audiences.
The “upsized” Chinese news and infotainment website is managed by the digital arm of SPH’s Chinese Media Group, and incorporates content and journalistic values of its three flagship papers – Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao, and Shin Min Daily News.
