Berita Harian goes digital!

Berita Harian (BH) officially launched its new arsenal of digital offerings on Feb 8 at Jalan Besar Stadium. The launch was held in conjunction with the LionsXII’s Malaysian Super League (MSL) match against Terengganu.

The launch, graced by Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong  (also Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information), saw BH introducing its stable of online offerings which included a revamped website and native applications for both mobile phones and tablets.

Advertisers were given an insight to what the new digital platforms can offer. A large portion of the website (beritaharian.sg) and app content will be dedicated to the LionsXII and coach, Fandi Ahmad.

BH editor Saat Abdul Rahman said: “We find that when we write about football and especially stories on Fandi, the response is always good. Of course, the website and apps will cover news and current affairs as well.  It’s important we provide these platforms to stay relevant and to also attract newer, younger readers.”

Acting Minister Lawrence Wong also said, “As Acting Sports Minister, I certainly appreciate Berita Harian for its support of local football and especially the LionsXII.  BH is more than a newspaper; it’s an important institution for the Malay community and has been a voice for the Malays in Singapore for the past 55 years.”
