The My Paper Love Hunt 2015, now into its third year, was presented by Bugis+ and Bugis Junction, with product sponsor Mitsubishi Electric and multimedia sponsor HUAWEI. Held on Feb 14, the event saw 92 couples beginning their treasure-hunt challenge at Bugis+ and ending at Bugis Junction.
The teams had to find 15 stations that were spread between the two malls. Each station required them to decipher given clues to complete a challenge before moving to the next station. The challenges range from shaking out specific ingredients from a pot, shooting darts, to piecing together a jigsaw puzzle.
The winning couple, Mr Heng Teck Huat, a technician and Ms Adeline Ang, an administrator, both 25, won the challenge and took home $2,000 cash and a HUAWEI Ascend Mate7 smartphone.
Although there were only three winning teams based on the fastest completion of all 15 challenges, some teams managed to clinch special awards like HUAWEI Most Active, Most Fit & Energetic, Best Sportsmanship, Most Photogenic and Most Creative Pose. One million STAR$® (equivalent to S$1,000 CapitaVoucher) was also given away through a lucky draw.
The winners of the Most Fit & Energetic award, Ms Hazel Koh, a research associate, and data analyst Cheng Zai Hui, both 25, said the race was fun and it was a whole new experience to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a different way.
Mr David Gage Peh, marketing communications manager, Bugis Junction and Bugis+, is very happy with this year's event. He said: "This year's dual theme of Simply Magical in Bugis+ and Thrillseekers with fire acts and bike stunts in Bugis Junction, added much spice to the event and entertainment to shoppers too."
