Effective business strategies with Lianhe Zaobao

More than 150 guests from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) spent their afternoon at a business seminar held at Carlton Hotel Singapore on Sept 12.

Organised by Lianhe Zaobao and sponsored by Lenovo, the seminar aims to educate SMEs on how they can consistently tap new technologies, improve work processes to increase productivity, and reinvent themselves.

A team of four key players in the business world shared their experience with participants. Ms Jessie Quek, country general manager of Singapore Lenovo, talked about mobility in a PC Plus World and how it will continue innovating smart connected devices to enhance user experience, and change the future of personal and business computing.

Mr Eric Tan, chief executive officer of GSK Global Group, shared his experience on how to use basic technology and best human resource practices to increase productivity. Mr Jimi Tan, chairman of Kenko Holdings, offered invaluable insights on the roots of a successful entrepreneur. Mr Alan Wong Peng How, principal business consultative advisor of SME Centre@Central, delved into vital issues like how SMEs benchmark themselves against their competitors and avenues to tap on the available assistance schemes and grants administered by government agencies.

Ms Jessie Quek, Country General Manager, Lenovo Singapore, said: “We are excited to partner with Lianhe Zaobao for this business seminar, which gives us this valuable opportunity to share with businesses that Lenovo recognises the challenges they face. We understand that enterprises need devices which can deliver productivity, performance and portability, at an affordable cost bracket. Lenovo believes in constantly innovating in order to bring new exciting machines to benefit the businesses."
