Feast and learn with Shin Min Daily News

Shin Min Daily News organised a Fun Culinary Workshop cum Luncheon to help readers usher in the lunar new year in a delicious way.  Held on January 24 at Tim Palace Restaurant, an overwhelming response saw all the seats snapped up after two advertisements.

More than 200 readers had the opportunity to indulge in eight delectable Chinese New Year dishes as well as a live cooking demonstration by the restaurant’s award-winning masterchef Pung Lu Tin.

Using Vitasoy’s Premium Organic Sprouted Tofu as the main ingredient, Chef Pang demonstrated stuffed braised deep-fried tofu in Sichuan chilli sauce and steamed tofu with pumpkin paste sauce.  He also whipped up a Chinese New Year dish, stir-fried prawns with golden egg and mayonnaise.  These dishes were also served as part of the menu for the day.

The event included exciting stage games hosted by UFM 100.3 DJ Anna Lim.  Every participant also received a goodie bag, which included products from Vitasoy worth more than $15.

Partner Unicurd Food Company (Pte) Ltd's Marketing Manager Suzana Jorami said: "The SM Fun Culinary Workshop is a great platform to bring Vitasoy’s Premium Organic Sprouted Tofu to our consumers. The interaction we had with the participants through Chef Pung’s live demo of our products created a better brand recall among the participants.  Furthermore, this event is also an avenue for us to share our brand positioning and product USPs of Vitasoy Premium Organic Sprouted Tofu to the attendees.  It was also good to see so many happy faces at the event, enjoying the great food that was served, bringing home goodie bags and winning the lucky draw prizes!
