Going one step further to usher in the Lunar New Year, The Straits Times Life! partnered with teak furniture retailer, Scanteak in early January to present a series of home furnishing deals.

For two consecutive weeks, the Home Sweet Deals in-paper promotion offered readers huge discounts of up to 40 per cent off Scanteak's living room and bedroom accessories.

It was a great shopping opportunity for homeowners seeking to revamp their interiors. Readers were simply required to present the cut-out coupons and redeem the offers at Scanteak's trade showroom.  In addition, readers were treated to additional perks like a sure-win lucky dip, complimentary shuttle services and snacks to enhance their shopping experience!

This joint-promotion was proven to be an effective sales tool for Scanteak. Ms Edeline Tan, Sales and Marketing Manager of Scanteak said: "We saw very favourable responses with more than 50 per cent of our customers coming with the cut-out coupons to our warehouse sales. The in-paper cut-out coupons were very popular among customers, with some even trading these coupons as it was one per customer per cut-out coupon. I guess customers really know when there is a good deal."
