Singapore’s No. 1 women’s magazine continues to raise the bar with the Her World Woman of the Year award programme. It started in 1991 to recognise women whose outstanding achievements project the best of Singapore, at home and abroad.
This year’s The Her World Woman of the Year is Susan Chong, 49, founder and CEO of eco-packaging firm Greenpac, which provides sustainable packaging solutions.
When Susan started the company in 2002, few businesses were aware of eco-friendliness. She saw this as a business opportunity, showing clients that going lean and green can save costs. As a result, Greenpac has grown into one of Singapore’s top packaging companies with Fortune 500 companies as its clients.
She joins a prestigious list of past winners, which include Professor Chan Heng Chee (1991), President Halimah Yacob (2003), Professor Ivy Ng (2011/2012), Dr Sudha Nair (2016), Ms Angelene Chan (2017) and Ms Ng Ling Ling (2018).
The Her World Young Woman Achiever award this year went to 26-year-old Annabelle Kwok, founding CEO of Artificial Intelligence (AI) company NeuralBay.
Apart from creating new technology and travelling the world to give talks with leaders of the global tech industry, she’s also a volunteer with Make-A-Wish Singapore.
This year, the programme was created in partnership with Tiffany & Co, SK-II Spa by Senze Salus and supported by Martell.
In keeping with the quality of the event, and the high-powered attendees, all sponsor partnerships are bespoke, editorially-led and crafted to suit the sponsors unique brand goals.
Because Her World Woman of the Year is a key programme, sponsor exposure includes wide coverage in video, digital and print. It includes a series of video hosted across The Straits Times, interviews on SPH radio stations plus a series of print and digital articles on Herworld.com.sg.
