The second edition of the SkillsFuture Festival, which celebrates lifelong learning and skills mastery, was launched on Friday, June 28 at the National University of Singapore, with the theme “Innovating for the Future of Work”.
It will run for six weeks from June 28 to August 11.
The festival will highlight technology-driven innovation and how companies can prepare themselves to ride the wave of change, leveraging technology and talent.
It aims to reach out to over 200,000 visitors, who can expect to experience more than 350 learning activities that will cater to companies and Singaporeans. This includes Work-Learn Carnival, SkillsFuture Festival in Your Community and SkillsFuture Festival X Smart Nation.
Guest of honour, Mr Chee Hong Tat, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Education & Ministry of Trade and Industry led a panel comprising OCBC Group CEO Samuel Tsien, Ninja Van CEO Lai Chang Wen, Lazada Singapore CEO James Chang, and Institute of Human Resource Professionals chairperson Goh Swee Chen, as they shared their insights, experiences and grappled key issues.
The forum was moderated by The Business Times digital editor Christopher Lim.
