Kiss92 baking challenge Queen of Tarts is back this CNY

Kiss92’s popular baking competition is back for the fifth consecutive year and it’s bigger and yummier than ever! Queen of Tarts, which started in 2018 as a search for the best homemade pineapple tarts, is now looking for the best homebaked tart in Singapore. Contestants will be able to showcase their creativity and talent, with the field now open to tarts of all shapes, sizes and fillings!

This presents a fantastic opportunity for advertisers such as consumer electronics and furniture retailers who would like to showcase their baking related appliances, or to retail and venue spaces which can display baking equipment, with sponsorship packages starting from $8,000. Food suppliers who would like to see their ingredients featured in the baking competition would be welcome as well.

Advertisers who sponsor this campaign will enjoy continuous mentions on-air and on Kiss92’s social media pages. This campaign is supported and promoted on all Kiss92 on-air shows and platforms in the weeks leading up to Chinese New Year. It will run for an additional week after Chinese New Year, with advertisers also enjoying extra credit mentions after the festive period.

With the poll and bake-off coinciding with the festive Chinese New Year period, Queen of Tarts has been well-received by the public and sponsors alike. Year after year, hundreds of entries are submitted as part of the challenge. In 2022, the search is open to all bakers, young, old, male, female and just about anyone with a love for baking tarts. 

The challenge will start with the submission of home-baked tarts to Kiss92. This will be followed by a social media contest where fans can post photos of their creations for a chance to win best dressed tart or most-loved post. An exciting on-ground finale will see the top 5 participants competing in a bake-off to crown next year’s Queen of Tarts.

CAMPAIGN SCHEDULE

Call for participation 10 - 25 Jan 2022 Trailer, adlibs, social media posts and print ad will run, asking fans to join the contest. 
Internal judging 25 - 28 Jan 2022 Kiss92 DJs will taste all the tarts and choose the top 5 best tasting tarts and top 5 best-dressed tarts that will qualify for public polling.
Announcement 28/30 Jan 2022 Announcement of the top 5 best tasting tarts and the poll for best-dressed tarts begins.
Bake-off 9 Feb 2022 The top 5 participants will come down on-site to the sponsor’s venue to do a bake-off (covered via stories and a post produced video) based on the ingredients sponsored and the participant with the best tasting tarts will be crowned the Queen of Tarts 2022.
