Close to 180 advertisers and guests were invited to a preview of the new updates on Lianhe Wanbao. Guests also had the opportunity to meet the new editor and her team at the trade event on July 15 at Grand Hyatt Singapore.
Ms Lee Huay Leng, editor of Lianhe Wanbao, shared the new updates and refreshed look as well as new advertising opportunities the paper offers. Expressing its vision through the unifying themes of “Care”, “Connect” and “Communicate”, the refreshed Lianhe Wanbao will deliver news and information to the best interests of their readers and the community at large. It will also seek creative ways to engage its readers and develop more meaningful relationships with them.
Ms Lee Huay Leng, Editor of Lianhe Wanbao, said: "The refreshed Lianhe Wanbao is designed with the readers at heart. We want to connect with our readers and communicate with them more effectively. We need to view things from their perspective and be closer to them."

With the updated look, I believe that Wanbao is able to reach out to even more readers. In addition, with themed supplements like ‘Travel’, it allows us to reach out to a more targeted market and help to increase ROI for companies.”
The event also showcased one of Lianhe Wanbao’s signature talk shows, Coffee Talk. This light-hearted and entertainment segment was hosted by Huang Wenhong with panelists Toh Soon Huat, executive chariman, Novena Foundation Pte Ltd; Mr Douglas Foo, chairman, Sakae Sushi Holdings Ltd; Ms Choo Hong Eng, Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food; and Mr Woon Wei Jong, associate editor, Lianhe Wanbao. The topic was “Should companies be leveraging or contributing towards corporate social responsibility?”
