SINGAPORE – Users of The Business Times app can now enjoy an all-new reading experience as the title has started progressively relaunching both its iPhone and Android mobile apps. Designed specifically with the user in mind, the newly revamped app promises to be more intuitive and easier to navigate.

With the new app, partners and advertisers now have unprecedented flexibility in working with BT to deliver sponsored and branded content. This is thanks to the entirely new codebase the app has been built on, giving the newsroom powerful control of the app to customise content updates, layout and positioning.

Navigation of The Business Times app has been streamlined to make it easier for users to find what they want. At the same time, a redesigned and modern interface allows for an optimal reading experience.

The app’s all-new home screen provides readers with the latest news, opinions, and podcasts on what’s trending, alongside other app-exclusive content.

With the “Sections” menu streamlined into six main categories, namely News & Opinion, Wealth & Investing, SME, Garage, Asean Business, and Lifestyle, users will spend less time navigating, and more time exploring content by simply tapping on headings and keywords.

“We’re launching our revamped apps at a very challenging time for businesses and markets,” said BT editor, Wong Wei Kong. “The Business Times has an important role to play in being a credible voice amid the uncertainty and volatility. Our refreshed mobile apps are designed to let our readers access the content they value intuitively and easily. We want to be the daily companion of our busy readers, as they go about making important business and investment decisions, and we will continue improving the experience for them.”

Aside from having dark modes now supported, notable features of The Business Times app include a bookmarking tool that allows users to “save now, read later” whether they’re browsing a listing page, or diving into a story. In addition, the e-paper archives have also been doubled from 1 week to 2 weeks 7 days to 14 days, and can be easily accessed just by tapping the e-paper icon.

The apps can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
