More than 400 participants, most of them mums-to-be, attended the inaugural edition of The Sunday Times "Baby Ready” seminar with their partners at The Star Gallery@The Star Performing Arts Centre.
The seminar featured four medical experts who shared the essential knowledge of how to get ready for any baby situation — from pre-birth care to baby’s firsts to major growth and developmental milestones.
Attendees who came with a partner paid $15 for this event and took back a goodie bag worth more than $150. In addition, they also redeemed additional gifts from the activities and the booths. Similac Mum’s booth gave away stroller bags and educational books at the "spin the wheel" game, and there was an instant photobooth to let mummies show off their beautiful bumps. Stemcord gave away an additional goodie bag when attendees correctly answered their quiz. There were other smaller booths like Huggies diapers, pre-and post-natal massage, Pur vacuum milk bottles storage system and Hurom Slow Juicer sampling counter.
Beside expectant couples, there were some attendees who wanted to know more about pregnancy. Newlywed Foo Yah Sin said: “I want to prepare myself for this exciting journey, it is a fruitful session as I didn’t know there are so much things to learn.”
Her husband Endus Lee felt it was a well organised and useful seminar.
This event was organised by The Sunday Times and presented by Similac Mum with partners Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Stemcord.
