The first of the Singtel/ SM/ WB Silver Series Workshop series this year was held at Gardens by the Bay with around 500 seniors gathered at the Flower Field Hall to learn about mobile photography.

Titled Singtel/ SM/ WB Silver Series Workshop-Mobile Photography Extravaganza, the event was held on Sept 11 to educate senior readers on how they can take good photographs just by using their mobile phones. Dr Lily Neo, MP for Jalan Besar, was the guest of honour for the event. Zaobao chief photographer Lee Tiah Khee was the guest speaker at the event, he shared his over 30 years of photo-taking experience to readers who then headed out to Gardens by the Bay to take photos to submit for the photography competition. They were also taught how to upload these photos on to social media.

It was very rewarding as by the end of the event, senior readers were better able to utilise their mobile phones to take photos of their loved ones as keepsakes and put it up on social media to stay connected with their family and friends.
