The first Shin Min Daily News redemption van entered Bugis carpark on Aug 31 to music and fanfare, with queues forming at least an hour before. In conjunction with Marigold Asian drinks, readers who picked up a copy of Shin Min and presented it at any redemption location, were rewarded with a six-pack Marigold Asian drink worth $2.30.

Two Shin Min redemption vans covered the south, east and west of Singapore in areas such as Tampines, Bugis, Jurong and Ang Mo Kio. In all, 1000 units of products were given out during the four hours of the redemption. At each location, the Shin Min van, which was branded with Marigold and Shin Min logos, was visible to all around the vicinity.

As the van travelled around Singapore, the branding was clearly seen as well. It was an extremely successful event as readers were rewarded for being loyal to Shin Min Daily News with Marigold’s newly packaged Asian drinks.
