Ms Aries Chan, 41, owner of The Coco Rice, said: "We are so honoured to be a part of Singapore Food Masters 2021 and very grateful for all the support from our clients and the judges. Reaching the top 3 when we are still very new at only 8 months is a pleasant surprise and blessing for us. While it has been challenging to move from being home-based to having a permanent stall at Tiong Bahru, which involved a total revamp of our menu and recipes, Singapore Food Masters has been a great platform for us to be recognised and introduce us to the market. We will do our best to continue serving good food and experience to our customers."
Clinching the longest running award for participating in the contest for consecutive years, foodie favourite Lazy Lizard The Promenade expressed its delight in participating in the competition.
Mr Werner, 65, one of Lazy Lizard The Promenade’s key management, said: "We have been open since 2019, and we will continue to serve high-quality food with great dining experiences. The Singapore Food Masters has helped us to generate more awareness of the restaurant so we will participate again next year, possibly with other Lazy Lizard outlets."
Dr Leslie Tay, host of Singapore Food Masters 2021 Awards Presentation and award-winning food blogger of ieatishootipost, said: "My congratulations go out to all 12 finalists, who have put in a lot of heart and soul to their craft and have weathered a challenging year. They certainly deserve the recognition for their efforts. Singapore Food Masters is an important platform for eateries who need greater exposure. At its core, it is about fans supporting their own favourite eateries and helping to make it known to a wider audience."
