Embracing the ethos of health and wellness, more than 150 readers immersed themselves in a half -day programme on July 26, at the Lianhe Wanbao Healthy & Beauty Workshop, held at SPH News Centre Auditorium.
Sponsored by Abeille d’OR and Clarityn, the programme encompassed a simple fitness workout that can be easily done at home and three educational health talks hosted by UFM100.3 DJ Lim Anna.
Dr Pang Yoke Teen, CENTAS medical director and senior ear nose throat & allergy consultant, shared his expertise on the various types of allergies and its treatments. A fitness workout conducted by entertainment editor cum NSCA & Sport Singapore (formerly known as Singapore Sports Council) fitness instructor Khoon Siew Kin demonstrated an effortless fitness regime on exercising the abdominal muscles.
After a sumptuous healthy tea break, Dr Bernard Lim, consultant surgeon, General & Colorectal Surgery, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, gave his insights into colorectal health and cancer.
The programme wrapped up with Dr Grace Liu Ying Hong, who has a PhD in Phytochemistry from Nanyang Technological University and is also founder and CEO of Asia Natural Products, giving an enlightening talk on eating healthily to maintain a healthy digestive system.
