Sustained increase in traffic through UFM100.3s U1000 campaign

For the second year in a row, Lau Pa Sat proudly presented UFM100.3’s annual countdown campaign, U1000, featuring the Top 1000 Mandarin songs voted by listeners.

UFM100.3 kick-started the 2015 edition of U1000 campaign on Feb 23, which garnered over 7,000 SMSes from listeners who voted for their favourite songs. The intention of this campaign was to involve listeners and give them the sense of power to determine the songs that are played on UFM100.3.  Over 450,000 votes were received during the voting phase where listeners were allowed to vote for any number of songs via UFM100.3 (

Fans were rewarded with Kopitiam cards through the various engagement phases during the entire 8 week campaign –nomination, voting and prediction.

The multi-platform campaign also saw UFM organising a series of live music showcases held at the refurbished Lau Pa Sat.  Local independent singers and band were invited to perform the top 1000 Mandarin songs at the showcase.
