SINGAPORE – Target Media Culcreative Pte Ltd (TMCC) has won the tender to install, operate and manage 6,000 Digital Display Panels (DDPs) in HDB lifts and lobbies.
This will bring Target Media’s total to 14,000 screens, forming the largest Digital Out-of-home network in Singapore, providing an effective avenue for targeted messaging to the residents.
Since mid-2018, TMCC has been operating 8,000 screens in seven townships — Choa Chu Kang, Tanjong Pagar, West Coast, Jurong-Clementi, Sembawang, East Coast-Fengshan and Tampines. This covers the West, North, East and Central areas of Singapore, reaching more than 300,000 households.
TMCC is a joint venture between Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), and global leader in lift advertising, Focus Media (China).
Together with the various Town Councils, People’s Association and brand owners, TMCC will be able to push meaningful and relevant content to the HDB Dwellers. The airtime is split between broadcasting community information and delivering commercial messages.
International brands such as McDonald’s, Mitsubishi, Redoxon, and government agencies such as Ministry of Communications and Information, e2i, Ministry of Manpower, etc. have used these screens to effectively market their products and services to the residents.
These DDPs are the first OOH (Out-of-home medium) which greet the residents when they step out of their homes, and the last broadcast medium they come into contact with when they return to their homes.
Commenting on the win, Jeff Liu, CEO of TMCC, said “We are honoured to be appointed the preferred partner for HDB for this challenging yet fulfilling project. In our past experience of building 8,000 screens, we understand how the DDPs can bring vibrancy and relevance to the HDB dwellers.
In sync with the Singapore’s government push for digitalization our Smart DDPs serve as an innovative channel and green initiative for the majority of Singaporeans to receive timely and relevant information.”
