Wine appreciation is a growing passion all over the world and is becoming just as popular in Singapore. The Business Times Luxe Night saw over 86 guests gathered at the award-winning Taste Paradise restaurant on August 27 for an evening of wining and dining.
For $68 per person, guests were treated to fine Cantonese cuisine, paired with six fine wines shortlisted from the top 50 labels of The Business Times Wine Challenge 2015 – CEOs’ Choice.
Wine sommelier and consultant Maximilien Fedkiw kick-started the event by introducing the wine pairing menu for the evening. With insights into the six wines, guests could savour the first item on the menu – XO Carrot Cake with Crisp-Fried Prawn in Laksa-Infused Mango Sauce paired with the Two Rivers Juliet Riesling 2013, one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. Each menu item was carefully labelled and paired with the various matching wines, making the tasting process easy and convenient for connoisseurs and beginners alike.
To round off the evening, guests were presented with exclusive product showcases by Larry Jewellery, Frank Muller and Tag Heuer.
At the end of the event, three lucky readers of The Business Times also walked away with $100 CapitaLand vouchers each, presented by Mr Chris Chong, CEO of Orchard Turn Developments.
This event was jointly organised by The Business Times and ION Orchard.
