The New Paper’s entertainment pullout M goes online

Put 300 trade, advertising and industry partners together in a cineplex and then treating them to an advanced premiere of the latest Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron flick – and you will a hall full of smiling faces.

That was exactly the case when SPH Digital launched the latest digital entity of The New Paper (TNP), M online, on Apr 22, at Golden Village (GV) Grand at Great World City.

Having a print run since Oct 2013, M started its life as a print section of The New Paper every Wednesday featuring all things Movies, Music and Makan (food). While M online carries all the goodness of its print counterpart, M online is literally offering More to its digital readers.   Popular columns from TNP’s stable of columnists such as Yeoh Wee Tech’s Weet Eats, Hedy Khoo’s Hed Chef and Zaihan’s Biker Boy will all be making their regular appearance on M online.

Coinciding with the launch of M online, both M and TNP.sg homepage spots a brand new mobile friendly facelift. Featuring large images and a mobile friendly look, both sites were updated with mobile usability in mind.

With an average of 6 million pageviews per month, TNP.sg had grown tremendously by leveraging on TNP’s unique brand of content from a Singaporean heartland perspective.

Apart from traditional M online advertising packages, the newly formed partnership would see new advertising packages that spans across both radio and digital mediums.

Digital editor of TNP, Mr Jonathan Roberts, said, “When it comes to entertainment and lifestyle, The New Paper's creativity continues to shine brightly. While regional and international awards have been won, the focus has always been the readers. Taking M online gives readers even More - more from our regular columnists, more of the very latest entertainment news, more online exclusives and more interactive infographics."

Ms Tan Su-Lin, deputy head, SPH Digital, said: "With TNP M, SPH Digital now has a strong offering dedicated solely to lifestyle and entertainment on the English medium within our stable of sites. With TNP's blend of Movies, Music and Makan, it would be an excellent platform with advertisers looking to engage the younger and trendy crowd."

TNP M online can now be accessed via http://tnp.sg/m.
