On February 10, AOne Claypot House was helped by UFM100.3 to raise funds for Singapore Rainbow Centre via the “Love Porridge Charity Day” (爱心粥义卖日) project. UFM100.3 DJs Wenhong, Limei, Xiao Zhu, Jingyun, Liangquan and Xinying headed down to the various AOne Claypot House outlets throughout the day to file live reports about the fund-raising event and also to show their appreciation to listeners who showed their support while enjoying the “Love Porridge”.
The “Love Porridge Charity Day” project raised $39,943 from all nine AOne Claypot House outlets. The funds raised are to help construct a new purpose-built building for Rainbow Centre Singapore. This new building will be used to serve close to 500 children in their early intervention or special education programme.
Xiao Zhu and AOne Claypot House Managing Director Richard Ter visited Rainbow Centre Singapore on March 12 to present the cheque.
UFM100.3 DJ Xiao Zhu said: ”It is very heartwarming to see the continuous support from our listeners for such projects. Their acts of kindness often inspire and motivate me to contribute back to society.”
Apart from this fund-raising campaign, UFM100.3 will continue to work on various initiatives for different communities and causes through UFM100.3’s monthly U-Shine (从关怀出发) campaign. In April, UFM100.3 DJ Li Mei, will be spearheading and explore the topic Volunteerism for Elderly Homes. Stay tuned to UFM100.3 to find out more.
