Unlocking the “aha” moment

In conjunction with the launch of the SPH iink Awards 2015, the organising team paid a surprise visit to JWT, OMD, PHD and Publicis on April 22 to launch the call-for-entries campaign.

Expanding on this year’s theme “Inspiration comes when you least expect it”, a 'roving salesman' drew the staff’s attention with his charismatic charms, thunderous voice and a big crate filled with fun items ranging from toilet rolls, bubble wraps, hand whisks to shopping vouchers that can help the folks at the agencies spark that creativity and inspiration.

SPH iink Awards awards recognise the relationship between advertiser, media agency and creative agency. Ms Ang Wan Gyn, managing director, PHD said, “Collaboration is one of the most important ingredients to make things happen. Without each of the three parties, nothing could come into creation even if you have the best inspiration; so that is something to be encouraged and something to be continued.”

The SPH iink Awards is open to all creative and media agencies, advertisers and any other advertising-related organisations. To be eligible for the SPH iink Awards, entries must have appeared in at least one of SPH’s spectrum of media platforms comprising Print, Digital, Radio and Out-of-Home during the period of June 1, 2014 to May 15, 2015.

Ms Elsie Chua, executive vice-president and head, marketing division at SPH, said: “On a daily basis, readers of SPH's newspapers and other media platforms get to enjoy many memorable advertisements by Singapore's creative talents. These ads are the result of a successful relationship between the client and the creative team as well as the media agency.”

Details and submission can be found at http://www.sphiinkawards.com.sg. The submission deadline is May 15, 2015.
