Winning shots with My Paper and Singapore Turf Club

Eighty seats, each costing $18 per person, were quickly snapped up for the My Paper Metropolitan Workshop held at Singapore Turf Club on August 24.

Bob Lee, a professional photographer who has clinched top photography awards kicked-off the programme by sharing useful techniques on how to capture shots of equine beauties up close and in action. He also imparted tips on food and coffee art photography to the participants.

Participants also had the chance to put their photography skills to the test with $100 cash given out to the four best pictures captured.

Participant Shanna Zhang, a 30-year-old engineer, said: "Taking pictures of the horses was the main reason why I signed up as it is a challenging task”.

Another participant Lee Zheng Yang, a 26-year-old technician who loves street photography, said he liked the fact that the workshop gave him a platform to take pictures of horses, which people hardly have access to.

Mr Eric Loh, Senior Manager (Corporate Communications), Singapore Turf Club said: "We are happy to co-host the event with My Paper as this is a unique opportunity for photography buffs not just of the horses, but also as a food showcase for private and corporate functions held at the Singapore Racecourse."
